2nd Annual Delmarva BioBlitz

Get your binoculars, butterfly net, and field guides ready - it's on for October 10-19, 2009! The 2nd Annual Delmarva BioBlitz will provide four $500 prizes (two youth and two adult) to the environmental organizations, museums, non-profits, schools, churches, or scout troops who inventory the most species or raise the most money.

This program is Designed to connect kids and families to nature through fun, semi-competitive nature exploration, while raising funds for non-profit organizations working on the Delmarva Peninsula. BioBlitz teams will conduct citizen-science inventories and help showcase Delmarva biodiversity in their local park, their watershed, or their region.
